How We Got Started: We are two sisters with a passion. A passion for planning the perfect event! We have always gone above the rest when planning any event whether it be a birthday party or our own weddings, we knew it had to be creative, beautiful and absolutely perfect! When it came time for the planning to begin, we began to reflect on what we had both experienced at many those mediocre, lack luster events. We knew we wanted something better. Our belief was that all events should be given the same attention, whether it be a birthday or anniversary party to a wedding or other special event. Because of our swanky ideas, attention to details and obsession for perfection, we were determined to create truly unique events that stood out above the rest…and BOY was it hard work! The countless hours of planning, endless amount of spending, trying to figure out where to store it all, not to mention what the heck to do with it all afterwards, quickly became very overwhelming. Decorating the event to make everything perfect took away from what really mattered. Even with intense preparations we would always end up running around mad trying to put on all the finishing touches and making sure everything was PERFECT and were unable to fully enjoy the event we worked so hard to make flawless. Among the all of the chaos, nothing could take away from the numerous compliments and endless praise we continuously received throughout all of our events. It became evident very quickly that this was not just a regular party.. Our mission was complete! As we packed up boxes, blew out candles, and sipped the last bit of champagne; we made a pact that if we could have anything to do with it nobody would ever have to sacrifice their sanity to pull off any type of event and at that moment, Above The Rest Events was born. “We create, you celebrate” is our mantra.
