Event 34 is an AIR CONDITIONED gathering center/hall to rent for your event. We have a full kitchen, meeting/quilting/card playing etc room as well as an area for your gathering that will accommodate 175 to 200 people. But our space is also comfortable and cozy for smaller groups. Rent by the hour, day or weekend. You rent the space and you plan the rest. We have a beautiful outside area that includes a Big Front Porch, and a fire pit. Come and check us out. We are located 1 mile E on Hwy 34. (formerly Broken Wheel 3) Give us a call. Vergas is a city in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 331 at the 2010 census.Vergas claims it is home of the World's Largest Loon, actually a 20ft sculpture of a loon, the Minnesota state bird.HistoryThe community was platted in 1903 as Altona, but quickly changed its name to match the name of its Soo Line Railroad station, which had been named after a series of sleeping cars that traveled between Minneapolis, Minnesota and Winnipeg, Manitoba.GeographyAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.50sqmi, of which 1.46sqmi is land and 0.04sqmi is water.Vergas is located at the junction of County Highway 4, County Highway 17, and State Highway 228.The community is at the west end of Long Lake.Loon Lake is immediately southwest of Vergas.Demographics2010 censusAs of the census of 2010, there were 331 people, 176 households, and 88 families residing in the city. ITOW Veterans Museum and HACA Art & Events Gallery
The ITOW (In Their Own Words) Veterans Museum is the only museum in the country entirely based on the oral histories of America’s veterans. All the exhibits are designed to provide an auditory, and/or visual experience through the use of video documentaries and interviews as well as audio commentaries. Adjacent to the museum is a large event space with art gallery walls. The galley is home to traveling exhibits, concerts, dramatic performances and more.
